| Introduction
The detailed help notes for accountants have been
prepared by Peter Benson. Peter was admitted to the then Society of
Accountants in 1961 and graduated with a B.Comm from Victoria in 1963.
He worked for a number of large national and multi-national firms before
entering public practice in 1970. He retired from the Institute and
public practice in 2000 but retains an association with a leading
Tauranga firm of accountants
and still has a small amount of hands-on attendance on a few of that
firm's clients.
Peter's links with SoEasy date from 1995 when an existing client needed
to install his own computer system. Many were investigated including all
of the usual suspects but none could exactly meet the client's
particular Billing, Stock and Debtor requirements until SoEasy was
discovered.
The client's business is successful and is still based on SoEasy! Peter
was initially impressed with the ability of SoEasy to trap mistakes but
inevitably his client managed to test the limits of the system. This has
resulted in some useful additions and alterations to the program. Many
of Peter's former clients have also started using the SoEasy program
with universal success. SoEasy has also asked Peter to help with other
installations where the questions have been of an accountancy rather
than program nature.
This has led Peter, in conjunction with his wife Suthin, to set up a
company, Crassus Consultants Limited, specifically to advise users of
the program where his knowledge and experience both as an accountant and
with SoEasy are invaluable. While direct contact with users is often
necessary, particularly in the initial stages, it is the intention
Crassus, wherever possible, to empower the SoEasy user's own accountant
